The Arts & Culture SHSM at Westminster allows students to deepen their skills and understanding in a range of artistic disciplines, including visual arts, music, dance, drama, and more. Students engage in hands-on projects, workshops, and community performances that showcase their talents. By collaborating with industry professionals, students gain a practical perspective on careers in the arts, while building their portfolios and expanding their creative networks.


Key opportunities include participation in school productions, visits to galleries, professional artist workshops, and cross-disciplinary projects with the music, drama, and dance departments. Students acquire certifications in areas like health and safety, leadership, and technical artistry relevant to their interests.

Our Health & Wellness SHSM focuses on developing skills essential for careers in healthcare, fitness, nutrition, and wellness industries. Students explore a variety of wellness topics, engage in health-related activities, and gain firsthand experience in community health initiatives. Opportunities such as co-op placements, CPR training, and workshops led by health professionals prepare students for both post-secondary education and workplace readiness.


Students gain valuable insights into patient care, wellness promotion, and community engagement. Certifications like Standard First Aid, CPR, and workplace safety are integral parts of this SHSM, equipping students with a solid foundation in health services and advocacy.

The ICT SHSM offers students a deep dive into technology and digital communication. Students develop skills in programming, web design, media production, cybersecurity, and more. Students have the opportunity to engage in coding challenges, multimedia production, and IT problem-solving exercises. Certifications like WHMIS, Customer Service, and specialized software skills ensure students are well-prepared for future ICT-related careers and post-secondary pathways.

The Transportation SHSM provides students with hands-on experience in automotive technology, vehicle maintenance, logistics, and transportation systems. This program prepares students for a range of careers, from automotive technician roles to transportation management and logistics coordination.


Students earn certifications such as WHMIS, automotive safety, and technical skills training, ensuring they are ready for both post-secondary programs and direct entry into transportation-related fields.
