Why the House System?
The House System at Westminster is designed to foster a strong sense of community, engagement, and school spirit. Our four houses—Cheetah, Lynx, Tiger, and Panther—offer students an opportunity to become part of a smaller, close-knit group within the larger school environment. Each house competes in friendly competitions, encouraging students to take pride in their house and work collaboratively toward shared goals.
Participation in house activities promotes a sense of ownership, belonging, and teamwork. Students engage in various events, from athletic competitions and academic challenges to artistic showcases and community service projects. This creates a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where students are motivated to excel, build friendships, and develop leadership skills.
By fostering friendly competition and providing numerous opportunities for involvement, the house system helps students develop school spirit and create lasting memories. It encourages students to embrace both individual and collective success, building a stronger, more connected school community.
