French

In the French Department, students learn to listen, speak, read, and write in French while gaining an appreciation of French cultures in Canada and around the world. Our courses emphasize building communication skills and cultural understanding, preparing students to thrive in a bilingual and multicultural world.

Unique Learning Opportunities

Students in the French program have access to innovative and engaging learning experiences. Our new Library Learning Centre offers flexible spaces for group projects, including House Rooms and a green screen studio where students create videos to practice pronunciation, intonation, and learn about French slang. Additionally, we will be celebrating French culture this November with a visit to Althouse College for Le Gala français.
